How to navigate this site
This tutorial can be navigated by clicking on the tabs at the top of each page with the first page titled '1. Introduction to Inguinal Hernias' and the second page titled '2. Development of the Inguinal Canal'.
The remainder of the pages of the tutorial can be viewed by moving your cursor over the 'more' tab, seen in the image below.

Under the 'more' tab several other pages will appear, with some containing subheadings and include:
'3. Anatomy of the Inguinal Canal' - As you move your cursor over this tab another subheading will appear titled '3.1 Mechanisms of the Inguinal Canal' and can be viewed by clicking it.
'4. Classification of Inguinal Hernias' - As you move your cursor over this tab another subheading will appear titled '4.1. Clinical Classification of Inguinal Hernias' and can be viewed by clicking it.
'5. Formation of Indirect and Direct Inguinal Hernias'
'6. Clinical Presentation and Diagnosis'
'7. Treatment and Repair' - As you move your cursor over this tab another two subheadings will appear titled '7.1. Open Repair' and '7.2. Laparoscopic Repair', as seen in the image below. Under '7.1. Open repair' another two subheadings will appear titled '7.1.1. Open Repair - Herniorrhaphy' and '7.1.2. Open Repair - Hernioplasty', which can be viewed by clicking them.
'8. Quiz' - answers to the quiz can be found either by clicking the box 'Quiz Answers' at the top of the page under the title '8. Quiz' or at the end of the quiz by clicking on the box titled 'Quiz Answers'. This will take you to a separate page which can be downloaded and printed.
'9. References'
Within some of the pages you will find images that you can interact with by placing your cursor over either the labels or the structures themselves, which highlights that section of the image and 'lights up', as seen in the image below. By clicking the highlighted area information pertaining to some structures will appear.
Within pages '7. Treatment and Repair' and '7.1 Open Repair', you will find a box, seen in the image below, which can be clicked and will take you to a video regarding these subjects.
